We are glad you decided to stop by. Nickerson Marina offers it patron’s safe, secure, and affordable moorage for their vessels on the Ballard Ship Canal. Located directly in between the Ballard Locks and Lake Union, Nickerson Marina offers unequivocal access to both Lake Union and the Pudget Sound. Located just walking distance from the Ballard Bridge and a two minute drive to downtown Freemont, Nickerson Marina is the perfect place to park your pride and joy!
With 60 covered moorage slips and 25+ uncovered slips, Nickerson has what you and your boat need in a marina. 10% of our moorage is available for live aboard status. Free parking, twin bathroom/shower facilities, 30A and/or 50A shore power, and slip side water bibs are available for all marina tenants. Security is essential at Nickerson Marina, each dock is secured by a locking gate and key system to ensure that no one has access to your vessel that shouldn’t.

Covered Moorage
Your boat is worth it! Keep your boats finish perfect by protecting it from the elements with one of our covered slips. Seattle Marina offers over 60 covered slips with an advanced fire protection system in every boathouse to ensure your boat is safe from all contingencies.
Online Billing and Payment
No need to come down to the marina to pay your bill! Nickerson Marina offers its patrons the opportunity to save the trees and also add convenience to their lives by providing a full electronic suite of online billing and payment options.
Security
Every dock gate and the restroom facility is lock and key protected to ensure that no one has access to your boat that should not. Gate codes are changed at regular intervals to add additional security and comfort.
Power
30A and/or 50A shore power is provided for all of our moorage (except bulkhead slips). Pay only for what you use! We read your meter every month, and you pay only for your own consumption at Seattle City and Light rates. No flat rates or minimum usage fees, we only ask you to pay for what you use, nothing more, nothing less.
Water
Water bibs are provided at every location in the marina at no charge to you! (Exception: Live aboard tenants are charged a live aboard fee which includes water)
Office Space
Lying on top of our covered moorage is 15,450 square feet of customizable commercial office space that enjoys and unequivocal view of the Ballard Ship Canal and Lake Union. Work on the water, play on the water!
Kayak/Canoe Storage
Tired of your kayak taking up all that space at your home? Sick of dragging it back and forth to the water? Think about how much more you would use your kayak/canoe if it was sitting next to the water ready for you whenever you wanted! Keep your kayak here at Nickerson Marina. We offer secure storage, month-to-month leases, and a slip less than 40 feet from your storage to launch from.
